About Margaria Cleaning Group
Margaria Cleaning Group currently employs approximately 350 staff in the Perth metropolitan area. The sites serviced include multi storey High Rise Buildings, Schools, Hotels, Industrial Premises, Aged Care Facilities, Health Care Facilities and Shopping Centres. These sites are managed by 7 full-time Area Managers who liaise with senior management on a daily basis.
The Specialist Services Division carry out the majority of periodic work such as floor maintenance, carpet cleaning, window cleaning, water damage restoration, high pressure steam cleaning, vacate cleans, bulk rubbish collection and other work that is not part of the regular cleaning schedule. The Specialist Services Division is also used for relieving when required, but in the majority of cases Area Managers are able to organize relieving staff internally.
Initially, staff are interviewed by either the Contracts Manager or Operations Manager depending on who is available at the time. Then, if deemed to be suitable for the position, are then taken through a detailed induction and where necessary a site specific induction.
Police clearances and identification photos are obtained at the induction.
Staff are then taken through a training matrix and assessed as to areas where additional training may be required.
The Area Manager or Leading Hand then work alongside all new employees on site to ensure that they are fully aware of the areas they are responsible for and are using the correct cleaning techniques.
Regular site inspections are carried out by the Area Manager and presented to the Building Manager at the end of each month and the scores from the inspections area are tallied and an average is calculated to gauge the standard being provided. Regular meetings with the client are undertaken to discuss issues such as inspection reports, specific tenant requests, and periodical cleaning items for the ensuing month and any other items in regard to the smooth running of the contract.
It has been an important part of Margaria Cleanings’ philosophy in building close working relationships with Building Management and individual tenants as we believe this is the key to success.
A periodic cleaning schedule will be instigated on a monthly basis and at the end of each month a report will be sent to the Building Manager confirming the date when the item was completed.
Communication books are placed at the reception of each tenancy and checked nightly by the leading hand prior to the start of each shift, so items that need to be addressed are promptly rectified and once complete the correspondence is initialed to advise it has been correctly actioned.
Margaria Cleaning will provide a Site Specific Risk Management Manual which will be used in managing the risks associated with providing cleaning services to the customer. The manual will identify where possible risks could occur and how these could be alleviated.
